If you're not feeling well

Symptoms vs Root Cause

It's common in modern health care to treat the symptom of the problem instead of the root cause. A simple example is taking a pain killer for a headache, when the headache is caused by dehydration. Together, we find the root cause of your symptom and address that. The good news is that treating the root cause usually addresses multiple issues at the same time. For example, food sensitivities can cause weight gain, as well as fatigue, skin issues, brain fog, joint pain, and more. Remove the food sensitivity, and all those symptoms improve.

Functional Medicine is about causes, not symptoms. It is getting to the root of the problem.
